Iron Oxide Process

The iron oxide process starts at the Kvannevann mine and ends with the final product. After mining, primary crushing and storage at Kvannevann, the iron ore is transported on rail to the Rana Gruber dressing plant at Gullsmedvik in Mo i Rana approx. 35 km south of the Kvannevann mine. The dressing plant is located at the head of the Rana Fjord where there are discharge and loading facilities for bulk material.
